Los Cabos Travel Information

Relax in one of Mexico´s most romantic destinations

Los Cabos is one of Mexico´s most romantic destinations. Its paradisiacal fine sand beaches and warm climate make it an ideal place for an escapade anytime of year. It is located on Baja California´s southernmost tip, the convergence spot of the Pacific and the Sea of Cortés waters, extending along 32 km of beaches distributed in 5 cities and towns: Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo, Santiago, Miraflores and La Ribera.

Los Cabos is simply the idyllic corner for all couples in search of a romantic honey moon, also for fishing fans and for those who merely wish to enjoy the peaceful surroundings along these beautiful beaches. This place treasures one of the most touching sights ever: gray whales come to these shores for mating and procreating.

There are also plenty of choices for entertainment here: water sports such as diving, surfing and kayaking, plus it is one of the best golf destinations, for its golf courses are the world´s best. Restless fun continues in the evening at the excellent bars and clubs in Cabo San Lucas.

From Cabo San Lucas to San José del Cabo runs the touristic corridor of paradisiacal beaches, featuring all sorts of spots, from lonely and hard to access like Love Beach to the most visited like Médano Beach.
A beautiful rocky formation called El Arco (the Archway) can be spotted from any of these beaches. This is the place´s icon and has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Cabo San Lucas, Los Cabos

Main Attractions

Love Beach
As its name describes, this is one of the most beautiful and romantic local beaches, for it is the link between the Pacific and the Sea of Cortés. It is a very peaceful corner since it can only be accessed by boat.

Divorce Beach
Ironically located a few meters away from Love Beach, this one is not ideal for much, except for sunbathing and relaxing.

Solmar Beach

This beach located on the Pacific side offers one of the best views of the ?End of the World Archway?. It is also a romantic spot and ideal for sunset walks, though not recommendable for a good swim. From January to March is the time to watch the gray whales here. This area features excellent accommodation.

Médano Beach
Located on Cabo San Lucas´ Bay by the Hacienda Beach Resort Hotel, is ideal for those in search of a peaceful and relaxing stay. The extremely calm waters invite to a perfect swim and the enjoyment of water sports like jet-skiing, kayaking and parachuting. This beach is a short distance from the main center and features several bars and entertainment.

Solmar Beach

El Chileno
Nestled between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, this calm beach is one of the most visited. Good for jet-skiing and snorkeling in its transparent waters.

Located 30 km away from San José del Cabo, it offers some great options for water sports and fishing. Beautiful calm waters, ideal for sunset walks.

Costa Azul

It is one of the surfers´ favorite spots for its excellent waves. Some 30 km from San José del Cabo, it offers all kinds of activities: windsurfing, snorkeling and diving.

Lying 28 km from San José del Cabo, this beach almost attached to Costa Azul is popular among the surfers.

Santa María

This rock-surrounded beach is very calm, though it may feature some waves. It is ideal to stroll along and take in the surroundings.

San José del Cabo Beach Hotelera

This beach is close to downtown and is not ideal for swimming, but a good place for bird watching. It is also a fishermen gathering.

La Playita

It is another fishermen´s beach east of San José del Cabo, where a huge Project called Puerto Los Cabos is on, though still unfinished. It is probably more picturesque tan the beaches along the touristic corridor as it harbors a fishing village.

The Archway

This is no doubts the local icon in Los Cabos, located on California Peninsula´s tip, joining spot for the Pacific and the Sea of Cortés. This huge sea-eroded rock has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and can only be accessed by boat.
